Palatable dishes are a weakness of many people and someone rightly says that “The way to people's heart is through their stomach”. To a large extent, people in India have a great appetite for food and this is rightly evident from the large number of restaurants and hotels that can be found in every nook and corner of cities in India. In places where inflow of tourists or non-natives is more, the enthusiasm to have delicacies is great. In such places restaurants of all types and food belonging to different cuisines are found.

In India, food from every region and area of the country is liked by people from other areas. For example, people from south India would love to have the Punjabi or Guajarati dishes. Although, these food items from other areas are not consumed on a daily basis, yet occasional splurging on the food is done by people from every region. And when such an occasion arises, people do not think twice before going for the exotic cuisine.

Probably, cashing on such a culture of food and fooding habits, various restaurants have tickled the taste buds of people in India. And therefore, food from all over the world is possible to be found in the country in various restaurants. And people are also seen eating these food items with acute interest. The multi cultural backdrop of India and the ability to assimilate wide varieties of delicacies has made the Italian restaurants in India so famous.

The Chinese restaurants in India have had a great presence because of the taste, primarily. People find the taste of Chinese foods quite interesting which has a unique method of preparations. Eateries, restaurants, hotels, road side vendors and fast food joints, Chinese foods in India are found in many places and so, it is but natural that the Chinese restaurants in India have become so famous. The same palate satisfaction is found with the Italian and Thai foods.

The factors of glamour and exotic looks that are associated with the Thai and Italian foods have made them so popular among the Indian foodies. Having Thai restaurants in India helps a lot of Thai food lovers to find the best dishes from Thai cuisine which are nowadays being presented in the most exotically looking servings. Similarly, the Italian restaurants in India have helped preserve the charm of the Italian cuisine among the Indian food lovers.

Chinese restaurants in India are found in almost every part of the country, wherever people go. Even the small joints and hotels are preparing the Chinese dishes. Some of the well known Italian restaurants in India are Basilico in Mumbai, Diva, Olive Beach and Baki in Delhi, Felini in Arambol, and many more. Thai restaurants in India are Intercontinental Grand in Delhi, Hotel Piccadily in Chandigarh, Nandan Hotel in Guwahati, Thai restaurants and bars in Surat, etc. These hotels which are spread across the whole of India and have a pan-Indian presence have helped popularise the Thai and Italian cuisine among Indian population.

It is not uncommon nowadays to find that people are ordering these exotic dishes from many restaurants in their vicinity and are able to pronounce the names of these exotic dishes quite easily. The culture of eating out and trying new dishes has offered a new perspective towards the Chinese, Italian and Thai restaurants in India.
